  2. Absolutely. Cust service rep dropped what she was doing and rushed out thru a raging blizzard so your comments could be brought to the CEO's immediate attention -- and QT will be reinstated next Monday... Oops, then you woke up http://bit.ly/KQpGsS

    Well Rodney,

I don't know who the hell you think you are but I can tell you are used to an up yours..

Not to stoop to your level, either, but your comment to me was completely uncalled for.

Not only that, but after 45 minutes on the phone with the male tech/account rep he was convinced enough to share my comments across management as well as my insistence that they look at what's out on the internet world wide about the prospect of QT being killed by TDA. If they want to read the writing on the wall, it is out there for them to read.

You do read, don't you Rodney?

We also discussed companies committing suicide in the name of what they called "progress" in their decisions....

You are familiar with self destructive behaviour based on your comment, so you might find a certain resonance here..

So, you think TDA will go out of business if they don't keep QT going?

Any company that takes a cavalier attitude to the NEEDS of its customers like I have encountered in all my discussions with the account reps at TDA, is not immune to a substancial decrease in retail confidence.

It's like this... they will create a vacume and that vacume will be filled.

If I wasn't looking at his back posts to see what kind of mind would respond like that, I was actually hoping he was one of those morons at TDA management :D

  8. That idea seems to run thru many minds here. Obviously TD isn't stupid; they did their homework and decided the cost/benefit of QT doesn't make business sense.

Also, I apologize for my prior intemperate an inappropriate post. I was off base.

Rodney apology accepted. I have to argue with your premise that TD Ameritrade knows what it is doing though.

It is a strawman argument if ever there was one. If they knew what they were doing they would never expect active equities traders to find T&S acceptable.

When I was ranting at the account rep today, I asked him to answer a hypothetical...
You are going to university, your first year, for your computing needs do you choose an iPad or a laptop? Which is it?

How about if you were an architect or even a serious trader or designer, would you be happy being forced to use Windows 8?

WTF are these people who you assume are supposed to be so smart thinking??

IMO Apple has peaked, blown its wad in terms of "Think Different" as an ethos, wants to corral its consumers into it's own version of AOL world.. its loyal user base will discover alternatives and are starting to now. There is no way you can substitute the self empowering capacity of computer potential for a mobile device..
It's nuts but its the fast buck road and it's going to kill the peak that Apple has just enjoyed. I see the same with Windows 8.
Companies are stupid, they commit suicide all the time, little by little when they lose the plot and take the path that the bean counters create instead.
