It seems that the results I'm getting are current even though it doesn't show its able to update.
The scans seem to give a selection of stocks with the current criteria.
I've been trying to get advanced screener registered so that it shows the whole selection of stocks and not just the first 4. Unable to find any help with several calls to TDA, I have TDA accounts so I shouldn't directed to open one each time I've tried to register the screener to my account.

But meanwhile I've figured out that if you just make a portfolio with the stocks that come up in the screener list, then you get the whole list of symbols captured into portfolio. Very nice and thank you someone :)

  2. tomi01,

QT is just using the last update that it was able to get. Some of the data may not change often, depending on what you are filtering on, but it is definitely not current.

As for registration, just get the patch and you don't have to deal with that anymore.

Thanks for your quick response and information. I did update with the update files provided.

I've just checked what you said and used "Harmani bullish", yes.... it seems the scans do go back to the last time I was able to update and it shows Mar 23, 12 las t update that went through. Why is TDA doing this?

TDA seems determined to lose my account with them.

I notice that some of the screens that were in Advanced Analyzer
are in Trade Architect now but it takes a lot longer to pull up
a chart with only some of the indicators that QT has.
    Thanks a bunch TDA.

I just got off the phone with them giving them (yet again) a piece of my mind about this.

All people, all over the world, who have accounts in all different currencies, in all different brokerages, across all time zones, in all different exchanges should call -

    TD Ameritrade 800-669-3900

You do not need to put in your account numbers as requested on the automated system, you will eventually get connected to a live person.

And when you do tell them everything you think about it, how much TDA is going to be hated and well they should for taking this gem and uncomparable piece of software and after buying the cow, taking it away from the world who needs it, then milking it to death and turning it into hamburger.....

Actually it might help.. after listening to my 45 minute rant where I told the guy to stop bs'ing me about T&S etc etc.. I was told that my comments would be sent to management........

The morons who are responsible for making this decision, who have obviously never traded equities and used indicators or various time frames and need deep quick clear analysis at a glimpse...

  7. tomi01, i just hope the program will continue to work on a stand alone basis. i wish someone would write a patch that would allow us to use yahoo streaming data with it.

People need to call to tell them to make this software available again to the market, or they will lose swing traders and day traders and the traders will lose more. Is there a way of suing them in a class action law suit?

Something that will make noise, get the bean counters attention, make headlines and end up being talked about on CNBC :D

At the very least everyone around the world should call them endlessly......

now I cant get any data for 5/1/12 on historical
charts. It skips from 4/30 to 5/2.
Is this another way TDA is nickle and dimeing QT to death?

  10. Historical charts by default use "BigCharts" as the source, unless you explicitly change that option. The missing day is from the BigCharts source, not TDA (don't know why). if you do change the Hist Backfill source to TDA and then clear the chart and backfill, it will get the 5/1 date. However, TDA's Hist data is notoriously inaccurate, which is why we left the default on "BigCharts" even after the TDA Hist data became available a number of years ago
