  2. @OVT 0 I just ran TWS (with demo login) and all volumes show up OK in QT. Does the volume update OK on the quote screen?

it sounds like you have the raw data window set to filter block trades. Turn off that filtering

    Hi Jerry,

I don't have the block filter on the Raw Data window in QT, just the trades only filter. If I turn off the trades only filter, it doesn't make any difference, it still only updates with the blocks of volume from TWS.

And on the quote screens in both TWS and QT the individual trades are not updating volume, once again, only the blocks of volume.

Since both you and reiehaxm are not having this problem, I'm going to try downloading a clean copy of the most recent version of TWS and see if this solves my problem.

I'll post an update after I have a chance to do the new download.

Thanks to you and to reiehaxm for your help.

    Same problem here.

This has happened twice before during 2010-2011 period.
    Both times an IB problem.

    Hi Jerry,

Downloaded and installed TWS version 924.3a (guessing this was the version cited by reiehaxm at 4-16-12 03:52 pm, thanks reiehaxm) and now all the block volume issues are resolved.

Don't know what happened over the weekend to foul up TWS 918.9b, but it doesn't matter as long as I'm back in business.

Sorry to have taken your time, but I appreciate your support. Once again you've proven that you are without peers.

    Thanks again for your help.

I was having issues with back-fill and contacted qt support @ TD.
    They said:

"QT is currently in the process of being drawn down. The tentative date for this is June 15th, 2012. A business decision has been made to cease support and maintenance of QT, so we are trying to integrate as many features as we can in to ThinkOrSwim from TD Ameritrade before that happens. "

Oh, they were nice enough to give me a patch to get it working again, but after using QT for many years, I am not happy...

...and I am a TD client... and do NOT like TOS or their other platforms...

    Probably going to IB...

  9. Amazing how many people despise TOS despite the thousands of man hours that went in its creation before and after the sale of the co.

It theoretically is much more powerful but its not 'fun' to use. Something clumsy about it.

I contacted QT support yesterday because the Advanced Screener is not updating. I received the following reply.......

The Advanced Screener will no longer function in QuoteTracker as of April 27th, 2012. The program that feature is ported from, Advanced Analyzer, will be drawn down on that date and the functionality will be made available in TD Ameritrade's Trade Architect platform. Also note that QuoteTracker is in the process of being drawn down. See the below for more information on the QuoteTracker drawdown:

QT is currently in the process of being drawn down. The tentative date for this is June 15th, 2012. A business decision has been made to cease support and maintenance of QT, so we are trying to integrate as many features as we can in to ThinkOrSwim from TD Ameritrade before that happens. When the drawdown is complete, QT will no longer be supported or maintained. In the meantime, we recommend trying out ThinkOrSwim. If you need any assistance with it or a walkthrough, just let us know and we'll see if we can get someone at TD Ameritrade to give you a call. For that, you would need a TD Ameritrade account, so if you have one, let us know the account number or userid (please do NOT send us any info other than that like password), a good phone number, day and time to call, and the timezone you're in.

    Sincerely,
    Harrison
