If you have an account with TDameritrade, tell them to keep QT alive, otherwise you will close your account with TD ameritrade. If you are not current a customer of TDAmeritrae, call them and tell them that you are interested in opening an account with TDAmeritrade and depositing xxxxxx amount of money, ONLY IF TDameritrade promises to keep QT alive. When enough voice is heard, TDAmeritrade cannot ignore that.
IMO They're not smart enough to keep the s/w going, so don't waste your time jerking their chain unless you've got a mid seven digit account to talk for you.
That's about right. Even a seven digit account isn't enough to get priority handling of bug-fixes, let alone to persuade them to keep a software line alive. TD's future is in value-add services such as "portfolio analysis" to big, slow-moving clients (in a sense, becoming more like an old-fashioned brokerage) rather than in catering to the bottom-dollar / high-maintenance / squeaky-wheel ET crowd.
looks like they are open to adding QT features to TOS. I put in a request and they tell me it's in the pipeline, not know if was in before or after. email qt support
I think we should all follow freewilly's advice. One thing we have going for us is that people who use QuoteTracker probably do a lot more trading than the average TDameritrade customer and enough lost commissions might wake them up.
