Same problem here on XP SP3. QT starts talking via port 443 to 216.105.251.201 and 216.105.251.30 and exchanges some data (it is encrypted so my simple wire sniffing doesn't reveal anything) which I believe is authentication attempt.
I'm running IE7 and was able to load the test page without any problem. So it's safe to assume that IE8 and IE9 are not necessary at this point in time.
If you are looking for this feature ... since vers. 5.41 Amibroker has been offering these mini bar charts too. The rest of your QT columns are there in AB too but not made visible here in this pic example.
On a different XP SP3 workstation on my home network, QT seems to be authenticating and getting quotes without any issues. Seems to be an issue related to local machine only. Investigating..
Installing IE8 over IE6 on that aged machine and updating Root Certificates (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931125) did the trick. Thank you for the most robust, functional, and leanest trading platform out there. Hoping QT will somehow be around and kicking in years to come.
I have solved my unable to log-in through QuoteTracker to my TDAT account for data or placing trades if using internet explorer IE 6.0. I was able to find and install two required Certificate Authority certificates into my Windows OS to solve the log-in problem. May QuoteTracker live on.
Cattosa, could you tell me where you found the two required certificates, and what they are named. I've been trying to fix this problem for a week, even with TDA and QT support all I have is root.zip with 50-100 certificates all with the wrong extensions. Thanks,
