QuoteTracker To Be Finished End of 2011

I have used TDAT quotes for years with QuoteTracker but the TDAT log-in for quotes through QuoteTracker has stopped working. Apparently TDAT has changed something on their end that prevents logging into my TDAT account through QuoteTracker.

 

Go to page 28 of this thread and read my post, (the third one down.) Apply the patch and see if it straightens things out for you.

Thanks for your reply. I think the patch is to allow QuoteTracker to run without being registered. I can still run QuoteTracker but I can not log in for TDAT data or TDAT news even though I have a TDAT account. I can log-in for MB Trading data as in the past but no data is being received from MBT even though the data start button has been pushed and the green data light is flashing in QT. My IB quotes are still working as in the past; However, IB does not provide quotes for some of the symbols for which TDAT does provides data. I think if I apply the patch, I still will not be able to log-in to receive TDAT data through QT as I have in the past. It does seem strange that TDAT data and MBT data quit working through QT but IB data is still working as in the past.

No. Login works regardless. Try going to this URL using IE browser (specifically IE, NOT firefox, chrome, etc)

You should get a page about the document you requested not being available (that is not a problem). The thing to check is if you are getting any security certificate error/warning when you try to go to that page. If so, that would be the cause of the login problem

 

I'm unable to login to TDAmeritrade from Quotetracker 3.9.8 (unpatched).

I am getting the certificate warning security alert when trying to go to the URL using IE browser. Clicking OK on the alert takes me to the page about the document not being available. I added the URL to my trusted sites but this did not stop the security alert. I am running windows 2000 pro with IE 6.0.

Do you know of a way around this problem that has just now started?

 

Can you do Windows Update to get latest updates for IE? Or update to IE 8 or 9? that will most likely fix the issue

 

I was afraid that might be the solution. I was hoping I could make a change in my IE 6.0 settings and solve the problem but so far I have not found anything in the setting changes that has worked. Windows updates are no longer available for windows 2000 from Microsoft. I would have to do some research on google to see what I can find out about upgrading from IE 6.0 with Windows 2000.
