i closed QT then restarted
no change

you would need to close QT, then extract contents to a temp folder (do not extract direct to QT folder)
Then copy the files from the temp folder to QT folder, overwriting the existing files

 

where do i find QT folder?

by default it would be something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\QuoteTracker

or on 32 bit systems:
C:\Program Files\QuoteTracker

I strongly suggest you remove that attachment from the post

As far as the patch, the only file you need to open is the patch zip file to extract it. After that, you just need to copy the files to the QuoteTracker folder. you do NOT need to open any of them.. If you have a problem with that, i suggest finding someone who can do that for you

You cannot write your won indicators in QT. However, MT has that indicator already.

I have been out of touch for some time.
I do have QT 3.9.8a (with IB feed) and would like to learn more about Medved Trader (MT).
Can I use any of the layouts / charts I have in QT with MT?
Where Is the best place to learn about MT features, etc?
