  1. Yes, MT already addressed the issue you are thinking of, so new Java should work fine

  4. Using QT and the indicator "momentum trend". I always wanted to put the Up/Down color on a paint bar but could never get it to work correctly in real time. Is there a simple way to do this? Don't like how this indicator plots in two locations (the very top and bottom of the chart). Thanks for any help.

  5. don't know about QT (have not touched Paintbars in a while) but in MT you can have the indicator either on the main chart or as a separate indicator above or below the main chart, and just make it narrow. Here is an example:

Same can be done for most indicators

  6. Thanks Jerry for the response. Looking at this chart and the MTr indicator, the red and green are overlapping each other? Is this the same "Momentum Trend" because in QT, each bar is one or the other. I would like to switch over to MT in the very near future and hope I can customize my bars as easily as Paintbars.

  7. its the same indicator, on the chart twice. On the main chart, you see the green at the top, red at the bottom. On the top chart, it is on its own and I just made the top indicator panel very narrow, so it almost overlaps - it is still drawn green on top, red on bottom, but this way the practical effect is that the 2 parts of the indicator are drawn close together.

  8. Yes....It just that its printing red and green at the same exact time on the same bar and in QT its one or the other.

assuming you are referring to MT, there is a Frequency dropdown on top left - on the ribbon, MAIN tab. You can also use keyboard shortcuts - CTRL+1, CTRL+2, etc.
