Thanks Jerry for prompt reply. Is there a way to change the limit in QT? Request for MT is to make it several billion ticks, perhaps user selectable if memory is the issue. These days having lots of memory on a trading computer is easy.
thanks for the IB/Java info. I installed an older version that I had in my downloads, older than 170-55, and now backfill works fine. Thanks so much for posting.
Hi All, Not sure of the response this will get but I recently moved over from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (8.1 to be exact) and now QuoteTracker (The version is 3.9.8a) opens up with the previous two hours of backfill data missing. It always seems to be the previous two hours (as of logging in). I've tried all various manners of reinstall, tweaking the timing and time offset. reinstalling on both Win 7 and Win 8 confirms that this is a Windows 8 issue I think since it still works on Win 7. Has anyone else encountered this? Can anyone offer any suggestions/advice/solutions to this? It would be much much appreciated!

Hey aazzz0, It's not that. I'm still running Windows 7 and I'm having same issue. Not tried using an older Java version yet. Seems a couple of other guys got that to work so, I may end up doing that. Or, just upgrade to Jerry's new Medved Trader.
Hello Jerry, I can no longer backfill qt intraday data from Ameritrade. I am running Windows 7 64 bit version and java build 55 64 bit. When I ask it to backfill, I see the message Backfilling symbol, but no data appears. Historical backfill works fine. Please help. On a separate note , are paintbars done in MT?
Java version is only relevant when using it with IB. What QT version are you using? Paintbars (or similar) feature is not done. Other things are higher priority right now.
