I restored CHLINES.DAT but the notations didn't return. I tried an earlier CHLINES.DAT but same result. I remember now doing this in the past with the same results. I've lost the chart notations many times and never been able to retrieve them.
y, there is a bit more to it. Ties to charts.ini. Frankly, I don't remember at this point. We did it completely differently in the new MT.
Turned on the computer this afternoon to start the e-mini futures, and the data is coming in, but the chart won't update. I am in Arizona, and we don't go on daylight savings time, and I think this has happened before. I erased all previous chart data to start with a clean slate, but still nothing. The raw data is working. But the chart is dead. Any ideas? The charts do work for stocks even though the market is closed, the chart loads when I enter a new symbol. But futures, dead. I've tried messing with the spike filter, but no help there. Update: Just set the timeframe to 24/7 and now it works. Never have set it that way before. Always used CME or CBOT timeframes, which don't work as of this afternoon. Strange. This must have something to do with Arizona's weird daylight savings time settings.
@high99 The timezone settings have not been updated for the current Daylight Savings Time since there is nobody to update QT. That would impact the non-US timezones
Thank you. As time goes by, the QT program becomes more and more like "The Walking Dead". All my charts, (the index charts, stocks, futures) now only work when set to "24-7" , which is OK as they do work. Chewing gum and bailing wire to keep this bad boy going.
Hmmmm. Tough to give up an old friend. Guess I will have to face reality and go with the new. After all, it is still your handsome face running the operation.
The only way I can keep this running as of today is to set Windows 8 time to eastern, even though I am in Arizona, and set QT at -3:00 hours behind eastern. Otherwise nothing happens. No quotes and no charts. Yesterday all actual times seemed to sync up fine. Something is not liking each other. Perhaps time for the MT beta?
I thought you were going to try MT? As for QT, US stuff should be OK with current settings. Non-US stuff - well, MT would work for that, or if in QT, you can tweak custom timeframes
