I was talking to Trent at IQ Feed and he says they are a data source for MT. Perhaps I should just bury QT for eternity and try the beta? I trade futures using a range candlestick and heiken ashi combo which QT provides. So?

I was able to drag the stocks.exe part over to QT. The ads are gone, and the version is now 3.9.8a as it should be. But when I log in, the registration pop up, pops up.

I finally resorted to using a memory stick in an old computer I had in the closet which had the patched version on it. Stuck the stick in the new computer and loaded it into program files. It worked. Thank god for old computers. Right Jerry? What is program files (x86)? Never seen that before. Windows 8 has program files and program files (x86).

Programs files (x86) is for 32 bit. Program files is for 64 bit. I have QT in program files which is 64 bit. Is that ok? Does it matter?

Did TD finally stop providing data for QT? Couldn't get quotes or backfill from them this week.

Beats me. I use MB Trading and that is my data source.

BTW, I tried transferring QT to the x86 program file from the regular program file and it would not let me do it. Said the file could not be moved from a file to the same file. So I suppose I doesn't matter where the thing calls home. As long as it works I'm not complaining. Anymore. Keeping QT alive with chewing gum and bailing wire. What a pain in the ass. Where the heck is that MT???? JM should quit those weekend sabbaticals to the Caribbean and keep that nose to the grindstone. He must be building up frequent flyer miles or something. :D:D:D:D

When I try to plot a Compare to Symbol indicator using Nasdaq Composite ($COMPX) it won't plot past Sept 2009, after that it's a straight line at Zero. When I try the S&P 500 Index ($SPX.X) it plots to July 15, 2013 and then straight lines at Zero. Using the Dow Industrials the plot also stops at Sept 2009.

Changing data source from IB to TDA doesn't make any difference.

Does anyone know the explanation for this problem and if there is a solution.
