I was just thinking the other day as I 'liked' your Facebook page, how you were going to capture new users who have perfectly good working QT programs. Certainly if I can use my Etade trading account to pull all the data in reliably and on demand including intraday you'd be swaying me away from QT. Can't wait to see a beta version.
Unfortunately, Mike let his E*Trade account get closed for inactivity. Will make him re-open it I guess.
thank you Jerry for the Yahoo suggestion -- glad you are still posting here -- good luck on wrapping up your new Medved Trader platform ....
There's a real problem with the Yahoo data, it's so inaccurate. I have a stock that I trade regularly. It's price ranges between 1 and $2. The Yahoo data is 95% right but interspersed amongst the data for a 2 year period is closing prices of $35 odd. Didn't have those problems with BigCharts data.
the last patch seems to have a tda configuration that does have historical backfill enabled. Are you sure you got that? http://www63.zippyshare.com/v/71375952/file.html
Although I have update 398a this new update file is slightly different. Have applied it. Bigcharts and default backfill is still not working but it is the weekend here if that has any effect. Yahoo is working and if need be I will just edit the corrupt data out.
BigCharts would still not work (that isn't going to change), but TDA as Hist Backfill should be available
Unfortunately I don't have a login and password. Or does owning QT entitle me to one? And would it provide ASX (Australian) data? Thanks.
ah, sorry - the patch thing was for TDA Hist backfill only. It wouldn't help for ASX data. Yahoo has that though I believe
I guess the dividend indicator on the stock charts are gone now. I have tried changing data sources with no luck. I have an account with Options Express but with their data feed selected in the options menu there is no dividends showing on the charts. Is anyone able to use a data source that will show dividends on the charts?
