FINALLY - MY QUESTIONS - it seems like the best course is to register for QT and pay the $120/yr. I don't see Schwab on the data sources - so it would be E-Trade. You don't need to pay the $120 just use the patch posted on page 71 to get full registration. 1. Does using E-Trade for streaming still work well? no 2. How long before TDA shuts it down entirely? who knows
E*Trade US Streaming should still work. Not sure what iTrader refers to with the "No" but the quotes work. No backfill though., Assuming you get the patch, TDA "shutdown" would be irrelevant - QT would not be getting any data or in any way communicating with TDA servers so there would not be anything to shut down.
QT doesn't really have "blank" chart. It gets last used. If there is none, it gets the default. you can configure one chart and set it as the default (in the right click menu). Then right click on any chart and select New Chart..
Thanks, I made a template labeled BLANK. Then I just open that, create my charts and name/save each chart.
Reply From QuoteTracker We are no longer processing new registrations. If you had an older registration, just let us know what name or email you may have registered under so we can reactivate that older registration. Please also keep in mind, if possible depending on your location, that opening, funding, and using a TD Ameritrade account within QT would auto-register QT and allow you access. We do not have any plans to draw down QT, but we are also not actively developing QT, so there will be no further enhancements. The feed from E-trade should still work for quotes. The Yahoo feed should work for free real-time quotes. Institutional accounts use a different back-end processing system and cannot access QT, but if you open and fund a personal account, that will work. Regards, QT Support Team
LOL! Guys I suggest we give a little break to Medved brothers with our questions so they can focus more on MT. P.s. What I'm hearing? Beta testing in August? LOL making up
seems that for the non-NASDAQ Level II, they changed from sending the size in 100s to sending the actual size. QT is multiplying the value by 100, so all values are displayed with an extra couple zeros.
