Similar to this thread title's claim about QuoteTracker, the news of this thread's demise has been greatly exaggerated During the attempted upgrade of this site, this thread was one of the casualties. We hope to have a beta sometime this summer. There are a few updates on the Google+ page for it (http://www.medvedtrader.com/googleplus ) It is written in C#. Should be both 32 and 64 bit. far more multi-threaded than QT. Updated UI. And Mike is certainly around. This is once again a joint family project. He is "terr" on here.
Whoa... I haven't checked in for several years and just thought to take a look for what's been going on here... then, WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE! Such a great news Jerry. You and Mike made those of us QT faithfuls proud. Best wishes and G/L. I'm really looking forward to the birth of your new "baby" MT! PS - I gather the new MT will not be comparable with OS X?
I currently use Heikin Ashi candlesticks in conjunction with range bars, in lieu of tick or timed candles. This combo has been on QT for years. You going to have it on your new effort? Also, is this new software going to be radically different from QT, or similar, just improved upon since QT has been mothballed now for a couple of years?
the QT chart types should all be in QT. It will be similar and improved. Both UI and Performance / Capacity
Thanks. I request you to improve point and figure. Whatever the scale the boxes should perfect squares.
I know QT version of P&F was a bit, shell we say "Flexible" . The updated charting components that we are using have that built in. I am pretty sure we will be using that instead of implementing ourselves. So it should be more consistent with the others than QT version
The QT chart types will be in QT? Are you going to call it QT again, or was that just a slip of the tongue?
Jerry, lost electricity, computer shut down (QT & IQFeed running..) For some reason, my daily charts with indicators (MA's) are gone, same with support/resistance lines/channel lines I had drawn... Any way of getting these back? Intra-day charts were ok. Thanks.
shfly, by default, QT makes a backup of settings, so you can try selecting FILE/RestoreBackups and restore to the last backup before the power outage
