I can guarantee that will not fix the problem. the stocks.zip in that link just updates STOCKS.EXE where as the login is handled in amtrade.lgs. There is absolutely no way STOCKS.EXE update would have anything to do with it.
Hi Jerry! I usually start two IB TWS then start QT. QT picks #1 to connect to. After #1 TWS goes down for whatever reason, I cannot make QT to connect to the #2 TWS even after I restarted QT several times. It's always very painful to start an IB TWS with real account because it asks two steps of passwords and takes very long time to initialize. So I'd rather restart QT instead of TWS. How does QT connect to TWS? For example, which one to connect to? Is there anything saved in one of the INI file that I can change in order to connect to the #2 TWS after the #1 TWS goes down? TIA!
QT has no idea about multiple TWS instances. It connects to whatever is available on the default TWS API Port. If you start 2 instances of TWS and both are set to default, then only the first one will be listening for connections until restarted. If you want one specific instance of TWS to serve QT, then either turn off the API on the other, or change the port that the API uses on the other to something other that the default.
@mydesign, I checked the symbol. The "Security Type" for it is "CFD". QT does not know how to handle that, so there is no way to make it send that quote data request properly without code change, and that's not going to happen. Sorry
Is there any chance of publishing a beta vers with no charts until the final beta starts up? How will we know when its released? Will you in fact DO a beta vers Shud we be expecting it this summer?
Ok I understand. Thanks for having taken the time to look at it. However I hope that you will make it possible with your new baby ;-)
Don't have anything beta ready at this time. Will be a while yet. Yes, we will do beta. Can't commit to release dates.
