Well...it works but when i close it and open it again the problem show up again!! so somethin get corrupted durning the shut down of the program!!! Anyone w a good idea?
Hi, Wondering if anyone can help solve this issue. Running Quotetracker on Windows 7, with IB. Several times a day it loses it's connection to IB for 30 seconds to a minute or so. Here's what happens. The L1 light on the bottom goes yellow and when you hover over it the little window reads "attempting Log in". Then after a ding sound the L1 light goes red and it shows"status stopped error 255" Then it will eventually re-connect. I'm pretty sure IB stays online the whole time because I set it to make a different sound when it loses it's connection. It happens most frequently during the first hour after the market opens, but I have Quotetracker on a couple of other computers, and this is the only one that this happens on. As far as I can tell the program is set up the same on all of them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Jerry: A problem when using QT. I open two charts for a stock. One is 1-minute, and another is 5-minute. When I move cursor on a chart, it should have crosses to indicate time and price in two charts, at the corresponding time point. It works. But sometime, the cursor can only move one cross on one chart. no response on another chart. Why does it happen? (if I miss-changed something in QT?), How to fix it? Thank you. Jason
of you have crosshair linking On on both charts, it should be in sync. that is the only thing that impacts that feature
Running QT 3.9.8 with the special update. The intraday backfill (through IB / Interactive Brokers) seems not to work when using 20 days on charts. i.e.: yellow message show up: Backfilling IDEALPRO:#EUR.USD but then nothing happens - no error message, no historical data show, just a gap left. Normal continuous incoming market data is collected and displayed correctly. Is there something that can be done?
Jerry, wondering if you didn't see this when I first posted it, so here it is again. Running Quotetracker 3.9.8a on Windows 7, with IB. I'm pretty sure IB stays online the whole time because I still get quotes on TWS. It happens most frequently during the first hour after the market opens, but I have Quotetracker on a couple of other computers, and this is the only one that this happens on. As far as I can tell the program is set up the same on all of them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
@uexkuell What exactly is "Special Update"? The patched version should indicate 3.9.8a. If your versikn shows 3.9.8, then backfill will not work @YMOCA, that would happen if connection betwen QT and TWS dies for whatever reason. Have not seen what you described. could also happen if qt gets some data that it does not recognise, but thay really shouldnt happen
Thanks for replying Jerry. I was hoping it was something simple that I am overlooking on this particular computer, since it's the only one that it does this on. Looks like I'll have to try a clean install of Windows, but was hoping you knew of a simple solution.
did you try logging in with the same TWS account on the other computer and see if you have the same results?
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll switch TWS accounts between the computers and see if anything changes. At least it will eliminate that variable.
