I ditched QT last month after 8 years. The writing was on the wall . IB's charts are "good enough" now for me. it's Cybertrader all over again. Next thing you know Esignal will discontinue QCharts.
fwiw, this is the response I received when I sent their support an email about not being able to connect to my Scottrade account (I use it for the dow jones news feed) "We have reported the issues with the Scottrade feed to the developers. We are no longer billing for registration renewals, so if you already have a paid registration, it will be free of charge from here on. QT will prompt you to do a WebUpdate when a fix is released. You may consider getting a TD Ameritrade account. And TD Ameritrade has full integration with QT, including trading, free QT registration, streaming of up to 600 symbols at a time, 20 day backfill, etc."
I tried Sierra and I thought I was reading a different language. It's definitely not your run of the mill charting software
Yes. I said something similar to bsam this morning. It has a different feel to it. I came from Metastock then Quotetracker (I paid Jerry for a lifetime licence ... lol) then TS2000i. And SC's design wasn't based on what I knew. However I've been using it for 5+ years now and when I messed around with TS again I found it quite strange. You get used to a slightly different way of thinking about the user experience ... but it might take a couple of weeks.
What will happen to the dow jones newsfeed with Scottrade? Please PM, if possible; your messaging options are disabled. Thanks.
Does anybody know if Jerry Medved trades? Just curious. I will probably never stop trading no matter how much money I have and am curious if he is a trader or a pure developer? If I get an answer it really does not matter to this thread or to anything...I am just curious for myself...Maybe I am weird for always trading...but I guess Bill Gates still uses a computer...no? Trading makes me feel free and alive ☺ HeHe or is it Gambling? Did you vote? http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47844 ES
I traded up to 2001 and some now that I have a bit more free time. Didn't have the time to do it in between.
