  4. Thanks for your post saico.

After recovering from my frustration of missing the anticipated move in indicie, I'm calling my data feed provider to see if there are any problems on that end.

  6. OK, my problem has been resolved.

    AND IT WASN'T QUOTETRACKER'S FAULT!

Has your problem been handled stock777?

Apparently QT Support is still going strong as ever, so we should email them if we have a problem.

    Best Regards,

  7. And as usual, my weakness for getting stirred up easily was revealed
    for the 7,359th time...:p

I am onto using Ensign today. So far, so good. If it doesn't hold it's water,
I am onto Sierra like usual...:)

I don't understand your response. Have you used ibcharts.com? When you say "can't compete with 'em"; do you mean they don't offer the tools you need to trade?

I want to do some research now. I don't exactly trust what TDAmeritrade might be up to.

  9. OK BSAM, I undertsand your concerns and apoligize for using slang and being flip. :D

The IBChart tool is nice, but I find it to be too simple and unsophisticated for my charting needs.

IMHO both Ensign and Sierra are decent alternatives to QuoteTracker ("QT"), but you will have to go through a learning curve to master them, I most definitely would not want to lie to you about that one.

For now, I would say you should study up on them (I'm sure v77 will help you if you PM'em), know their costs, know what they offer, and then really understand what they offer in terms of what you need.

I'm still sitting on the fence with this whole buyout thing, but I have not moved my charting from QT and I will not until it is proven to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that the app will not be supported and I cannot expect the exceptional level of charting that I have received thus far OR Ameritrade starts doing something "funny" with the pricing structure (I can't really define "funny" right now, I'm going to have to wait and see on that one).

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    JJ

    JJ---

Thanks for the feedback. Actually, for my needs, "simple" is almost the perfect fit for me. Yeah, will be interesting to see what TDA might do in the future.

    Thanks.
