  1. Nope, been a paid subscriber for years, as most folks who have been using it (the free version doesn't do very much).

    Cheers chuckles,

  2. Quotetracker is amazing. I applied to re-register by email and I got an email from Jerry in less than a half hour, that everything was taken care of.

  4. No way. REAL users of QT have been registered and paying the
big bucks for years... Me, since the last century...

I will bet you anything, the cost of QT will go up. It won't be cheap
anymore. Ameritrade will want the $$$ back they gave to the Medveds.
    They won't get it back charging $60 a YEAR... Maybe $60 a Month...

  5. If they raise the price it will make Ensign very happy. I am sure that legally they will have to honor current subscriptions so nothing should change for awhile.

  6. himself

    himself

When I am running QT and IB feed all is fine until---
IB shuts down its feed for a half hour in the middle of the night.

Most of the time when the IB feed resumes QT does not log back in.
Therefore when I wake up in the morning I see that QT doesn't show any prices since midnight.

Has anyone found a work-around for this problem???

[With this sale I guess QT will not be interested in making fixes unless it benefits Ameritrade.]

  7. I suppose you'r right. If I read the FAQ correctly:

Question: Can I still use QT with out having a TD AMERITRADE account?

Answer: YES! QuoteTracker will continue to allow for you to use it just as you had in the past. Of course, if you bring your funded account to TD AMERITRADE, you will receive the registered version of QT software for free ($2000 minimum funding)!

it means that for paying customers nothing will change. I certainly hope so.
So, non-AMERITRADE customers either have to pay, or get the adware-version. An AMERITRADE customer can get QT for free.
    Or did I miss something?

  8. No worries there version.

Their software is only one-half as good as Engisn (if that), the (main) reason everyone was using them was that they were the cheapest half-way decent option on the block.

I don't think this is to raise rates so much as it is to get access to the QT client base.

$60 a month would price themselves way out of their current retail trader market ... and you can always open an account with'em if you don't want to pay the fee(s).

  9. It is of course a matter of taste but I tried both Ensign and Medved and have decided that for my purposes QT is far better.

I had a hard time entering new quotes in Ensign and modifying charts for them wasn't obvious (for me at least, still don't know how to remove a study). Also, the weird window-in-window modus (inherited probably from the development language platform) doesn't allow for charts to be moved around freely on my XP desktop. That is a show-stopper for me.

Anyway, for some ppl QT is not only just as good, but even better than Ensign.

  10. So can you still use integrated trading with a brokerage other than TD/Ameritrade?
