  2. iqfeed

    iqfeed DTN

Not at all. I have been in communication with Jerry regarding the changes, and things are as good as ever between DTN, QuoteTracker, and TD Ameritrade (who was already a large client of DTN).

IQFeed is one of the smallest businesses of DTN. While it is a great business, we have many more users on our own higher end analytics products. In addition, QuoteTracker users represent a small portion of our overall business in the IQFeed product line. If they end up dropping support for other brokers, they will continue to support IQFeed, and thus DTN will actually benefit greatly. There are dozens of 3rd party products that work with IQFeed, and if the QT acquisition from TD Ameritrade ends up causing users to look for a new platform (which doesn't appear to be the case), users will continue to be able to get the best datafeed at the best price with IQFeed. The 2 products I have seen most people talk about trying is Ensign (which has supported DTN's datafeeds for nearly 20 years) and Sierra Charts (which added support for IQFeed earlier this year). Thus, there is no need to change feeds just because you change products.

Has anyone tried the latest QT version. I'm wondering how the Ameritrade Total View works?

  5. Has anyone updated to the new beta version to see if they can
    still get quotes from IB?

Since IB is not on the broker list perhaps you can't get data either?

I'm not going to be the guinea pig...:(

where did you get that idea? They have IB listed as being supported right on their home page as well as the Quote Sources page. Their FAQ explicitly states

Can I continue to trade my non-TD AMERITRADE brokerage accounts in QT?

Yes! QT will continue to support linkages to other brokerage accounts. ........

pretty clear to me....I just don't think there is any grand conspiracy out there.....

(wait did you hear that noise)

  7. LMAO ... here we have a great definition of naive ... complete confidence that the "new thing" will continue to provide the same benefits and no penalties.

IGolf, congratulate yourself on your warm cuddly childlike optimism. LOL. You join a generation of folk who were told "no, the merger won't affect your jobs" and smiled up at the warm helpful faces of their managers.
