I have been out of the trading loop for over a year. I loaded QT and the latest TWS onto Windows 8 entered my reg number and all was working. I loaded into Windows 7 and cannot get my datafeed working. No word back from QT support. Is QT out of business? Does anyone know a comparable software charting package that supports adjustable range bars? QT was/is a fanastic program.
157+ pages of convoluded conjecture. I have it working on Windows 8 Pro 64 bit with TWS build 931.2. I was a previous registered user and it still seems to take my reg. #. I wish I had more information on when it will stop working.
I haven't used QT in over 6 years, I was merely pointing you to the current QT thread were you could post the question to Jerry directly. If anyone knows it would be him.
Not sure what you mean regarding adjustable range bars, but I have been using Sierra Charts for a couple of years and am very satisfied.
@mczx It will work same as before, though you want to get the patch that fixes backfill and disables WebUpdate. Here is the link to the specific post: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3491423#post3491423 make sure you enable the API in TWS. The instructions are the same as before: http://www.quotetracker.com/help/ib.shtml though TWS specific screens may be a little different, what needs to be done is the same
Thanks Jerry. I was indeed thinking of adding the patch. I am so glad it's still running and perfectly on Windows 8 Pro.
