See http://finance.lycos.com/home/subs/qc3party.asp for 3rd party software compatible with Quote.com. I use SWP software from http://www.crontech.com which is a Qcharts add-on. It pretty much satisfies my needs: scanner, backtester, alerts, etc.
frangraboyes, In general, have you been using intraday scanners and/or alerts? How reliable is the Quote.com/SWP combo these days? Are you using inegrated trading as well? Thanx, dzambo
SWP/Quote.com combo works pretty well for me. I scan for intraday patterns and setup alerts which send orders to IB once triggered. Trendline alerts are awesome! I heard eSignal integration is in works.
I find alerts management in Qcharts as insufficient for me. Can SWP with Qcharts handle this much better? One of ideas is, to get an alert when price and volume go up from level 10 minutes ago. It would be much more helpful if alert would move in correlation with the price, i.e. price goes DOWN 3%, alert for price going UP would also move DOWN 3% (something like trailing stop when trading). Is something like this possible? Or is it possible something else? Lojze
