QUIZ--fill in the blanks, test your knowledge/bias--

  1. I stepped outside the box when I served three years as an IDF soldier. When I saw how desperately Israeli soceity truly wants the bloodshed to end. I stepped outside the box when in 1994, I PERSONALLY was ordered to set loose thousands of convicted terrorists in the name of the bogus 'peace process'. I was one of the soldiers litterally opening the gates for these assholes to set them free. Many of them went on to commit murderous terrorist acts which would have been prevented if not for Israel's burning desire to set aside all logic, and attempt to work with arch-murderer Arafat as a 'peacemaker'. I know who is the aggressor and who is the peace loving victim in the middle east...so maybe you should step outside the box.

Given your unique experience and "reporting", I retract my statement about paralleling Zionist homeland vs. German expansion.

  3. Agreed 100%. The public majority wants the bloodshed to end. The desire to live peacefully runs deep and wide. I'd bet both sides sharing the same desire. Who wouldn't?
Do the leaders honestly share the same sentiments?

    Your conviction is admirable.
The thread title was testing your (any reader's) bias/knowledge. Note the bias expression, and response change after the names became known.

    A side note,
The thread is not about attacking or defending Israel. Bogus peace process or not, I can't tell. You were following orders. Stepping outside the box would mean to sit back and go objectively through the region's history, try from more than one sources.
For example, before 1948, were there suicide bombers attacking Israelis in the area? What was the 1948 agreement about? What were the physical borders of the fledging state?. Why there? What UN resolutions designated them?. Who violated what rules? Check maps and settlement expansions 1948-2003 against UN resolutions. People have been displaced. A big mess. One nation's terrorist is another nation's freedom fighter. Six day war? what really happened and why? USS Liberty attacks, what happened?
A wall is being built now. Last similar wall was erected by commies in Berlin. A huge mess. What are the borders of the state now? Why? It is series of events influenced by many in power, leading to the present day problems. The thread quote IS from 1955.

BTW, I'd venture to ask, was your nick selection influenced by the book Atlas Shrugged? great reading.

  4. Total180, my every instinct tells me not to flame you even the slighest bit. I get the strong impression that if you only knew the history, you'd see things alot differently.

The following link is to a brief summary of the history of modern Israel. It was written by a pro-Israel author, yet it is 100% factually correct. Besides, no history text can be considered fully objective, anyways.

Here are the answers to most of your questions:

Yes... the handle Rearden Metal was taken from Atlas Shrugged. Did you know that the Ayn Rand Institute is fully supportive of Israel?
