No magical cure needed. Just stop f*cking doing it. It's entirely your descision to or not to do it, unlike cancer. Prepare yourself for about 2 weeks, TWO STINIKING WEEKS, of high-agitation. Thats it, two fricking weeks for a life time of freedom from that filthy habit. During those two weeks, plan a bunch, ALOT of busy-body shit you can do... 10 mile hikes, retile the bathroom, etc ... just stay busy and keep your mind occupied. After two weeks, the urges will be there be far less so... after Four Weeks, you're home free. Instead of imagining smoking, imagine instead hitting yourself in the head with a hammer, same difference.
I'm basically a recluse , neophyte. I cant just go for a run, a hike, all that fun stuff. I used to love doing that kinda stuff, but not now. I cant just "do" stuff normal people might do, but your entirely correct, just F##g stop. Stop buying them , stop lighting them up, just p**s 'em off completely. BTW, you may not know, that in psychiatric centres, they strongly recommend NOT quitting while your in there. More work for them, bigtime.
Recluse, or not, you can still keep your mind busy... Read War and Peace. I quit on my first serious attempt. One night I smoked myself sick, and the next morning attempted to smoke one as part of my morning ritual. It made me ill. At that moment, I would have prefered hitting myself in the head with a hammer than smoke a cigarette, (frankly, I'm not sure which is worse for you)... I used that imagery and ran with it. I never smoked another cigarette again. (6+ years). Its an inverted exponential curve, 1st week is hell, 2nd a little less so, etc .. For about six months I didn't touch any tobacco. I smoke cigars from time to time now, (and sometimes more than that) with no worries of any habitiual shit happening. Cigars are all-natural, and much more of a hassle to smoke than a cancer-stick. If you're desperate, try smoking yourself sick. Good luck.
I read war and peace already, it stank, JMO. Nitro has a great book thread BTW, if you happen to be into mathy stuff, top gear. Interesting, you "quit on your first serious attempt". thats good, im not going to sit here and suggest i have much willpower, i dont, yet that's exactly what's required.
I wasn't bragging, simply pointing out the method I used was 100% successful for me. Bottom Line: It requieres serious will-power in the SHORT-TERM. Understand that, and understand it too shall pass. No, "I'll just have one cigarette...". BE DONE WITH IT! In the long-run, it is a great, great feeling, STILL. Knowing I'm no longer chained to that filthy, disgusting habit. Don;t get me wrong, I have nothing against tobacco in a more natural form... (hand-rolled cigars for instance), but cigarettes are evil. They smell evil ... Switch to cigars for a while, mix it up.. Good luck.
If i were allowed, to get hold of the stupid FUCK who forced me to try and smoke a whole pack when i was "caught" smoking, HELL HATH NO FURY F**kn R*tarded mofo SHITHEAD. P-A-Y-U-F-K Sorry neo, posted before i saw your reply there, but by god, lousy maggots BURN. Thanks for your advice though, this is tough stuff, (no previous comments were directed at you) dammit.
Yeah, that's probably a bad idea ... unless your bloodstream is already saturated with nicotine to begin with, why fill it up with it.
Yeah, it sounds so simple in principle, but trust me , it is a BAD idea. It doesnt matter, whether your bloodstream is full of it, this stupid approach gaurantees it will be, and pre-conditioned for it. Bad news.
For me, having smoked for a decade, after getting terribly ill from smoking I truly recognized cigarettes for what they are....Evil, death-sticks, my arch-enemy. Not my dear-friend. I ran with that, everytime I got an urge I conjured up that hate I had at that moment in time. "Smoke a cigarette? Might as well hit myself over the head with a hammer!"
Well, i have plenty of hate to spare. And i tried that, literally. Yes, it hurt's like heck after a while. Head-butting walls is'nt a solution either, trust me on that one. Trust me, dont work. I'm already I'll from this poison, same as everyone else, but i have to say i am amazed by the responses so far.
