    Hi,
I was wondering if anyone uses quicken to record their trades. If you do you will notice that if you trade the same stock more than once in a day, it asks you if you want to assign specific "lots" to a transaction. Sometimes the matching of lots can get mixed up. Unfortunately, it appears as though once trades are matched to specific lots the lot identification button is grayed out. How do you change the matching of lots in this case?
    Thanks

  2. i used to have that problem. I was related to the fact the Q2002 treats short and long sales as different. So you have to sell to close a long. You have "cover short" to cover a short.

I had cases where Quicken were both long and short a stock at the same time with zero shares. Confused the matching.
