quick question

  1. Yes you're right. Making 300k a year is great and as you guys say, no reason to change one's comfort zone.

No idea about how long he's been trading, his strategy, etc. Met him at a trader's hookup, talked for 10-20 minutes, and that was it.

Made it sound so easy though for an instance I was tempted to give up stocks and start getting my 5 points a day :)

yes, i know, more difficult than it sounds.

    I'll stick to stocks.

Tx for all your answers, it's amazing how sane and civilized ET can be sometimes.

  2. If you ask me there is no difference between futures or stocks.
    They move the same.

Yeah, there is more "risk" in futures but also they trade all day and all night. :)

Going back to your question on why he does not trade 500 contracts... it is easier to get filled with a handful than a mess of contracts. This may be in addition to the answeres above, a reason why he does 5. But also, with those 5 contracts he will have the power of 10, 20, 50, 100 on his side. (depending on the future).

I like to think of futures as options that act like a stock.

  3. No prob slowdown, glad to help. ET can be a great place some days and other days not so much.

Good luck if you decide to come over to futures!
