Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

  1. I'm curious to know that if you have a setup of signals which is very reliable to trade on and you are making some consistent profits out of it, why aren't you increasing your capital accordingly to trade? Unless that person isn't quite confident with what he is doing or his setups aren't reliable enough to trade big??? Don't get me wrong that I'm judging you here because I'm putting myself into your shoes with logical thinking stuff.

By the way, the reason why I keep trading solo for years is because it's tough to find real professional traders trading the same style like the way I do. Also, I don't want to get distracted or wasting time trading on a live forum with those who aren't making consistent profits on monthly basics.

Like @Handle123 said, it's not a game or bragging rights because the only source of income that I generate for livings and supporting my family is from trading business.

[QUOTE="As you can see from the trades I was not paying full attention. Most traders do not realize that in order to trade effectively one must follow a defined process. Think of it as a sequence of steps that you must carry out before you enter and exit the trade. As soon as I am filled, I know what I have missed. I know the sequence and for trading 1-2 contracts it is really not that big a deal when I lose concentration for a bit. However, with 10 contracts there can be no mistakes. So, the purpose is to speak with traders that are aware of this from their own trading, and who are also interested in trading multiple contracts up to 10. 10 is the max, it all depends on what the ES is doing, and the TOD. The largest size that I have done to date is 4 contracts. 10 contracts will be a big step. Those who say that if you can do it with 1 contract you can do it with 10 contracts have not tried it. It is not an easy task, but one that can be mastered I am certain, once the correct approach is used and with the correct mindset. I will keep the trading together in mind, and maybe we can hook up some days to see what we can make of this stupid trading business.[/QUOTE]

No, it is not a game of bragging, and @Handle123 should not be spinning stories without backing up what he says. I only met him here, and my take is that he is not genuine. I might be wrong, but only he can prove he does what he says, like I am doing here. It is as simple as that. Too many people make up stories and some people foolishly believe them. Never believe anything you read on the internet without hard facts, for it can cost you a good deal of money if you are not sharp minded.
Trading. Yes, I have a certain way that I look at the markets. Everyone does, but most look at the markets the wrong way. What one learns from textbooks is not really that good at making you money, but very good at losing you money. I do not trade fulltime as I have a real job, but I have been asked to go fulltime and trade OPM. I will not do so until I am 100% confident that I will make money each and every day trading up to 10 contracts. I am in no hurry at all. I am not here to brag, but have stated clearly many times. As you can see I have no time for talkers, which most people are. The only thing that matters in trading is what I have shown, in live trade results with chart marked up. Anything else is just a waste of peoples time.

  3. I see. Well, if you quit your job to trade as a full-time trader like me who has been trading full-time for 5+ years (not including a decade of painful learning from mistakes and accumulating experience), one piece of real and sincerely advice to you is that you must have at least $500k as your trading capital in order to reduce high level of stress and anxiety while you don't have other sources of income coming in, especially if you have a family that you need to support them.

I'm in mid-30s which means I still have at least another half life to live and supporting my family. Therefore, I can't afford to make any serious mistakes that might ruin everything. Being said that, I hope you won't have to go through some hard lessons like I did during my full-time trading career.

    Good luck to you.

It all depends, as everyone is different. I have absolutely no intention of giving up my job to daytrade, as I can make some money trading when I am not working. If I do, it will be 50/50 with me taking 50% of all profits when trading OPM. Either way it really does not bother me, as I am under no pressure to make more money.

I closed it just before the market reversed. That link you posted, seems like a lot of issues going on with that person.

That is not a chart marked up with entries and exits. Your PnL statements are garbage. Just like how you said my marked-up charts were garbage and meaningless.

I have lost interest in this thread as there was only one person who made any sense, but he does not want to engage with people on a public forum. You guys make me laugh. You go around talking as if you know everything, and most of you do not even trade. I am only interested in speaking with traders who actually daytrade the ES on a regular basis, but I think I might have said that before in this thread, maybe only once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was willing to engage in and explore your idea, and attempt to day-trade the ES on a regular basis. I posted two days of results, but after those two days you typed that my marked-up charts were garbage and useless. So I stopped the effort.

Perhaps we all should go long in exclamation points, considering your consumption of them. Surely, there is a limited supply of them! <----Ooops, there's one less to have! Demand is higher, supply must be down! <----Darn, there's two less to have! <---And another one! <---And another one....

Are you ok? It seems that whatever the education buyer has you have also picked up. I am not here to brag, teach, lie or waste my time. I stated clearly why I am here, If I can not find any such person then so be it, as I am not worried about it. I do not have to trade OPM, but I did say I would look into it and give it some thought, which is exactly what I am doing. Your charts, yes they are crap, especially for daytrading. When are you guys going to realize that if you do what everyone else does then you will get what everyone else gets. Why do you think you will be any different than the rest?
