Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

Some live real trades for today. If I have the time I will do some live sim trading, but it all depends on what I am doing and what the market is doing. Today warranted some time for live trading as we had a nice drop. I done one average down trade, but I had my reasons. I do not do this type of trading unless I am in full control and ready to get out if need be. Today it worked out as planned. Other days it might not, but that is how trading goes. No risk, no reward. I see @Overnight is talking to himself, so it must be @Handle123. As he has put me on ignore, he is not welcome here. He can of course join in anytime and post a chart the same as everyone else, which I doubt very much he will do as he does not really trade from what I can make out. I will be the first to apologize to him when he posts some live real trade or live sim trade details, such as these live real trades I done today.

I am looking to speak with an Elite Trader in relation to specific trading approaches. As I am not ignorant, I will engage with those who post. I am not looking for advice from anyone, as I am well capable of trading myself. However, as mentioned, if an Elite Trader that happens to trade up to 10 contracts drops in and joins the discussion, then the purpose of my thread will be fulfilled. People should really read the posts before they reply, as they are just showing their ignorance with silly and ridiculous replies that have absolutely nothing to do with the thread topic.

K - why not look at one of the youtube videos from one of the best ES scalpers on the planet. A 2 hour video from a famous trader that use to account for a lot of the ES volume and now trains/develops successful prop traders while still an active trader. This will give you more info than 10,000 years of 3 liners from a forum ever could. Good LUCK!

I went thru the video quickly. It is a complete waste of time. For a start, using renko charts, or any other charts apart from standard bar or candle time charts is of no benefit what so ever. There are a group of people (most well over 50) who know how to read standard bar charts correctly. I have deciphered some of what they do, but still have a few more codes to break before the box clicks open. This is one of the reasons for this thread. If any of these people come across my posts they will know what I am speaking about, and might join in. However, I know how they operate, so if one does join in it will not be in a way that a person would expect. You will not find anything worthwhile on youtube. I should not even have to tell you that.

    Nice job...

I guess the type of traders that you are looking for, unless he has a deep pocket that he can go in & out every time with >10 ES contracts per trade, aren't going to spend their valuable time on this EL forum.

The only time I trade >10 ES contracts is when my swing/short-term setup shows its winning rate of >90%. Otherwise, I only trade few ES contracts or SPY options for setups showing its winning rate of >70% and <90%.

If you're interested, we can trade together somehow (as well as those pros who are interested), but for years I've been trading solo as a full-time trader.

I see you are stuck on arrogant to the max. The standard candle charts are fine for wide time frames but for short term the weighting goes on volume as opposed to time - volume leads price, not time. That is why most experienced day traders do not use standard bars. The price is only a pat of it, than there are market internals and relative strength, the 10 year - the overseas night session, etc, etc.

As you can see from the trades I was not paying full attention. Most traders do not realize that in order to trade effectively one must follow a defined process. Think of it as a sequence of steps that you must carry out before you enter and exit the trade. As soon as I am filled, I know what I have missed. I know the sequence and for trading 1-2 contracts it is really not that big a deal when I lose concentration for a bit. However, with 10 contracts there can be no mistakes. So, the purpose is to speak with traders that are aware of this from their own trading, and who are also interested in trading multiple contracts up to 10. 10 is the max, it all depends on what the ES is doing, and the TOD. The largest size that I have done to date is 4 contracts. 10 contracts will be a big step. Those who say that if you can do it with 1 contract you can do it with 10 contracts have not tried it. It is not an easy task, but one that can be mastered I am certain, once the correct approach is used and with the correct mindset. I will keep the trading together in mind, and maybe we can hook up some days to see what we can make of this stupid trading business.

Never believe everything you read, especially on the internet.

This thread is getting comical. You started out asking for advice. Now here you are trying to give professional advice. WTF??

wtfuoa, I did what you asked. I posted some live data charts in sim, marked with entries and exits, in real time with live in-your-face data. And the only comment you can give is that I was responding to someone you have blocked? I was typing to YOU! Handle was responding to a post I made to YOU, wtfuoa.

Do you not wish to discuss my trades? YOUR charts are certainly not marked with entries and exits. Your "journal" does not even match the timestamps on your charts.

    So what gives?
