Return on capital of course. Is it difficult? Sure but medical school is more difficult that getting a GED but tends to pay better in the long run than selling cars or waiting tables

"...An opportunity has arisen where I can daytrade the ES with OPM. I will not accept any monies from other people unless I know exactly what I need to do in order to make money each and every day daytrading the ES. This is why I am looking to discuss daytrading the ES with people who do it on a daily basis..."

wtfauoa, I had respect for what you were doing until the above statement. You are being so bold to say that you WILL NOT trade other people's money until you are SURE about your own system. Well, wtfauoa, why not do it with your own money first? Why not prove to the world that is knocking down your door and which is giving money to you, to trade your system with their money, with your own money?

And people (not just you wtfauoa), people....PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy and just...STOP WITH THE FUCKING ES NONSENSE! ENOUGH ALREADY! ES ES ES ES ES ES ES ES ES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all anyone can see. It is all they can think is a viable instrument to trade. Open yer fukin' eyes, man. The fucking ES is not the end all-be all of all that is trading! ES is not the first and last best destiny of all trading! STFU about the fucking ES, OK? Just...stop it! ES ES! Why not try spreading your liquidity to another market, and implementing Nash's Equilibrium? Never heard of it? Look it up! It could help us all!

This is one type of trading mentioned that I want to discuss with some Elite Traders, if there are any here that is? We can call it The Final Countdown strategy. Status just before 1 long contract closed.

Given the title is ES, why are you even here?

Yes, many other markets, but let's speak about Volume, do you think if anyone puts in order at the market for 500 lot going long in Coffee in first hour of trading, would you expect slippage? For that matter, most of the Futures instruments would give more slippage than most people make in a month. There are few markets that have good volume, Bund has great volume but Dax much lower, Soybeans can be spotty, can day trade T-Bonds/T-notes but like watching Paint dry, and currency futures more slippage that I like, but I do trade them. I love day trading Coffee and Live cattle, but size would hurt any time.

Often times it is not even the size traders put on getting in as it is getting out on stops, so where you might not like ES, you generally don't lose sleep cause of trades you did during the day.

And I totally agree with you, if you don't trade your own money first, you will most likely lose someone else's.

You know, that is a very good question. Why am I here in an ES thread? I suppose the only answer I can give is that I've watched the ES future for a time, saw it had price movement inferior as compared to other future contracts, and felt this compulsion to rail against the ES, because that is all anyone ever talks about. ES. Vendors, brokers, traders...It seems to me that it is the "golden child" of trading, because so many brokers offer such low daytrading margins on it.

As far as trading S&P options outright, or trading options on top of the ES future, I do not know. But why could someone not do that with the NASDAQ and NQ? Just because of volume?

If the extreme ES volume is the only reason why people trade it, then no other futures contract should be traded. Because nothing comes close to ES in volume. The logical conclusion then is that the only futures contract that money can be made on is the ES.

    Silly conclusion, isn't it?
