Back when I was trading NYSE, I always hit bids and asks on island with limit orders and never had any problems getting filled.

These are nothing more than serial NYSE bashers and conspiracy theorists who take sport in looking up disdainfully and shaking clenched fists at the grapes which are out of their reach, while proclaiming in a loud shrill that they are sour.

Actually, I still remember when you helped me with some questions about the best/latest options software technology... at that time I realized you were probably one of the "real" traders on the board (I may be wrong, LOL).... I have no animosity against anyone...and, do my best to keep an open mind ...

You seem to have a fair and honest understanding of the NYSE - without most of the conspiracy theories that abound, especially from newer traders.

All the best...(live from Paris).... Learning more about World Cup Soccer than I though I ever would...boy, this is serious sports mania ...makes Super Bowl seem like High School, LOL.

  7. You live in Paris? Nice!! Are you going to visit germany for the cup, catch a game?
Plus LeTour is going to get real good this year, with Lance gone... competition is getting bloody.

  8. that bid and offer could be the guy who sits next to u or some guy in china. contrary to popular belief, specialists do not post every single quote. it could be a big mutual fund flashing large bids and pulling them to accumulate stock. if trader at mutual fund is given the order to accumulate 250k shares of XYZ, he'll pull out all of his "tricks" so that he can to get the best prices.
