last year I made little over 18,000 trades and paid my CPA $3,300. in this year, I made 22,100 trades so far. I guess my CPA will ask $3700 or so for this year.
is this normal cost of the service? I feel like it's overpriced cuz I think my tax report is pretty simple. nothing really complicated issue at all.

I like to hear how other active traders do thier taxes and how much they pay for the services.

    That is insane!

A competent CPA should not charge you more than $500 for a simple return, a few bucks more if you have property, K1's...etc.

It's NOT an accountant's job to post trades on a schedule D.

If you are doing 18,000 trades a year, you need to invest in software and import your trades to a spread sheet.

I hope your CPA has a big pair of boobs for that price .

  3. My friends own Prop Trading company, and he says he only spend $1500 for such services.
