Question re: selling my trading computer

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by ChiliPalmer, Nov 4, 2009.

  1. I'm guessing about $800 for the lot, + shipping.

    $300 for run-of-the-mill computer
    +50 for Q6600 CPU
    + 200 for two, NVS 440s
+ 50 for Office if original disks included... $0, if not.
+ 200 for monitors (can't hardly give away a used 19" LCD these days)

    ____________

$800... that's assuming $300 for base computer isn't too much

  2. I'm either returning to school or moving out of the country. Which I choose remains to be seen.

Whatever the case, I won't need a wall of monitors.

  5. If you live in a big city , your best bet is to put an ad in craigslist. Now I dont know if you've ever sold anything online before but whatever you do, dont let the prospective buyer come directly to your home without another person(like a friend of yours) be there with you. There are are alot of scams going on these days with "buyers" showing real interest in buying what you're selling, only to back out for whatever reason and coming back at a later time to rob you of your pc and/or anything else they want. Be careful......

  6. Dude, part it out on eBay if you want the most for it. The last used Raptors I sold on eBay went for $125 a piece (4) as fast as I listed them, buy it now price. Part it out. I assume you built it, you know how to take it apart.

  8. $125 for an old Raptor? How long ago was your sale?

  9. I understand your point, but that is too much work.

I might get less selling it as a whole, but I'll save a great deal of time and potential trouble.

Right now, that matters to me more.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

  10. used equipment is not worth much. Computers and parts, in this economy, are much cheaper, such as RAM.

Keep at least ONE box and a screen or two - worth more to yuo than a buyer. Everyone needs a computer, even if in school...
