Question on Schedule C and Self Employment Tax

  1. can you clarify on the above point as i am currently researching a similar topic?

    i understand if one were trading futures they are allowed to pay 60 % as long term capital gains and 40% as short term, which make them tax advantageous over stocks.

    but what does this mean if you are a pro trader?

    do you stilll get those tax benefits and what are the tax implications as a professional futures trader?
