  2. The US was not a decisive factor in WWII.Sorry to burst your bubble but the bulk of fighting occurred on the Eastern front where ALL the biggest battles took place. The Soviet Union would have defeated the Nazis with or without Americans landing in Normandy. Anybody who knows some history would know that.

  3. Bullshit. Participitaing is not always about fighting, lend lease anyone? I did not mention normandy but USA was supplying an inordinate amount of stuff to soviet union.

  4. How much stuff do you think you could sent in a boat for a nation of 200 million? Stop repeating propaganda you learned in high school and start thinking.

Could you specifically tell me what the US provided for the Soviet Union to make it decisive in winning with the Nazis? Their best tanks (T34) were designed and made by the soviets in the Soviet Union. The same goes for other weapons.
As for land lease it helped the British who really played an insignificant role in WW2, and would have been easily defeated if Hitler did not decide to invade USSR instead.

While I disagree the US was not a decisive factor in WWII.

Had Germany not invaded USSR, we all might be speaking german. In addition, the way the german army raped, pillaged, and burned mother russia to the the ground only incited revenge in the russian army.

  6. The British were certainly not insignificant. German U-Boats would have owned the Atlantic if the British didn't fight them. Not to mention their efforts in Africa.

Hitler decided to invade USSR instead of Britain because they couldn't defeat the RAF and establish air superiority in order to get their troops across.

  7. Some people are brain dead. USA provided a lot of stuff such as aluminum, munitions, DC-3s, SPAM, radios, cloth for uniforms etc. , etc. Just because T-34 was better than a Sherman it did not make Sherman worthless.

  8. Pat Buchanan argues exactly that point

WWII started with Britian declaring war with Germany over Poland

50 million dead later, Poland is enslaved to Russia

    50 million, for what?

  9. For what? Britain, France, US and Russia did not want to see an all powerful germany on the content, that is for what. Poland was a pretext. Very similar reasons to WWI, people feared powerful Germany.

  10. Way too simple for this to have any meaning.

Britain would have eventually declared war on Germany no matter what, Poland just happened to be the straw that broke the camel's back. If Germany had invaded Poland and Britain had not declared war on Germany, Germany would have kept on expanding throughout Europe anyways. So it is inevitable that Britain would have declared war, whether it was after Poland was attacked, or France, or whoever else the German's attacked.

The goal of the war was to stop the spread of Nazism and all of the evils that went along with it and that goal was accomplished. The goal of the war was not to liberate Poland.
