Question: how to deal with trolls? Can't anybody do something about them?

Has this been implemented? Certain threads are unusually quiet.

  2. It seems management saw the light with how moronic allowing self motivation would be. A site already in rapid decline would soon reach ground zero.

The trouble causing stealth "helpers" rallying around $5 ebook previews and incredibly verbose yet moronic posts have been forced to seek greener pastures after being exposed as phonies.

The site should slowly return back to normal now that the false educators have left.

Instead the site will be handed over to frauds peddling $350/mo newsletters to their groupies.

If you want self-moderating threads and no trolls, just PM me and I'll provide alternatives. If ET is in "rapid decline", note that the self-moderating option has not yet been implemented. And probably won't be.

  5. Is he really admitting that he "sends posters" to competitive sites via PM.? Can this get any more bizzare?

  7. Well, if we are not going to see broad based censorship by intolerant petty tyrants, that can only be a good thing for ET.

The cults can move to Jonestown with their messiahs and leave the normal folk behind.

As for the basement, there is a very clear warning about what you will find there and yet people unreasonably complain. Personally, I think the crap there is despicable, but it's not in my face and I respect the right of others to express themselves. Better than keeping it in and then going and acting on their pent up thoughts. If there are more complaints and threats, Baron might wish to consider making that area accessible to password holders only, and the price of admission is signing another set of Terms and expressly acknowledging the nature of the content user wishes to involve in. If after that someone comes up for air and bitches and moans, ban the sod and be done with it.

Forums whether dealing with trading to basket weaving are to give readers ideas whether very good or worst of information, it is up to the Reader to test. And like any forum, you have The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, and I use the Ignore feature on several I don't care much. I come here to read, post and relax to get away from stresses, not let immature people ruin it for me. If they don't like what I write, they can put me on ignore. And some folks are just plain mean spirited, they have troubled lives or mentally incapable of being civil to others, but that is life.

Too many people in the world.
All of them are allowed to post on the internet.
Some can only get satisfaction by petty whining.
Some can only get satisfaction by logging in to "prove" their manhood (to themselves).

All have freedom of speech; as, in the end, it should be.

All, also, have the freedom to laugh and move on to the next post if they don't like whichever post they happen to be reading at any given time.
