Question: how to deal with trolls? Can't anybody do something about them?

I've had over 125 clients who are also ET Members, and maybe 5 of them post. When I ask clients why they don't post - the answers are universal: they don't like all the backbiting and personal attacks; they don't like the lack of decorum and professionalism; they don't like being hustled via PM for services from Members who are not sponsors; and most of all, they mention the woeful lack of actual hardcore trading- related content.

Maybe this new feature will help. It's worth a shot.

Some of ET members post real-ime trades or real-time analysis elsewhere. I even see some posting brokerage statements with their real-time trades. I think that thought continues to fly over the heads of many in their debates. Twitter, Facebook, Stocktwits, Skype, IRC have been and will continue to be very useful real-time communication tools outside of traditional trading forums like Elitetrader.com

Why they stopped posting real-time info at this forum or refuse to do such at this forum is obvious...better places elsewhere to do such instead of interacting with those they dislike here for whatever reason.

Think about it...as of June 1st 2015, Facebook has 900,000,000 unique visitors per month, Twitter has 310,000,000 unique visitors per month and Stocktwits has 425,000 unique visitors per month.

Elitetrader.com isn't the only place in the universe and maybe one day Baron will re-think linking info at ET to these other online locations considering anything I join today that's not trading related is asking me if I want to "link" it to Facebook or Twitter.

P.S. I hope ET can once again regain its status as the top place to share useful content. I can only see such if about +20 past particular useful content sharers were to leave their current online location and return back to this forum...not likely. :(

And to answer the question why would I be interested to observe validity of a claim if it carries 0 relevance to my current or future performance the answer is simple - curiosity. This is an open debate forum after all or is it not?

Being curious is fine. Being a pest and making demands is another.

An open debate forum? It's a trading forum. If two or more people want to debate something and know how, that's up to them. But it's not a requirement.

Why not start with all the complaints you've made in this thread so far?

It has also been suggested to restore the chat room. I can understand why Baron has been reluctant to do so as they are a giant PITA. But there you are.

Expressing a point if view isn't complaining mate. Carry on.
