Hi, I'm coming from an unusual background in that I have a degree in Biochemistry and went to medical school for one year. I am interested in getting an internship at a hedge fund/I-Bank/Securities Desk. What would be the best way to leverage my background in attaining a spot?

(Also, I'm in Texas and I know most opportunities are on the coast..don't mind relocating but finding it hard to network)

  2. I suspect you might have to demonstrate that you are serious about entering the business. One way to demonstrate your intention is to take a college course in finance, or go to MBA school. A top MBA school.
