you do not know what you are talking about.

affirmative action could get any minority student in a bad neighborhood who attended class into an ivy league school in the late 80s and 90s.

And I did not have a problem with that. The problem was when those bad students leaked out into average law schools. Some of them were just unbelievable ill suited to go to law school.

What scared me is if some of those same types of students got into med school.

By the way - I have no problem with affirmative action into undergrad. something needs to be done to reward students coming from very difficult circumstances. so do not try paint me as some kind of racist. I believe opportunity should be given but then the opportunity should utilized.

  2. No, the sheep like you who voted for "hope and change" are perfect examples of people who lack intellectual curiosity.

  7. Another interesting fact about Obama is that he graduated from Harvard Law School with the honor of Magna Cum Laude which according to the Wikipedia definition...

"Magna Cum Laude" is graduating with great praise; an honor added to a diploma or degree for work considered greatly above average."

  8. Ditto!

I don't know what most expect of the President... but contrary to apparently common beliefs, the President doesn't know EVERYTHING! He is surrounded by advisors [presumed trustworthy] in many areas upon whose data collection and judgment he must rely. Then after collecting all then info for a given time or incident, he must make decisions....hopefully those which are IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY AND OUR CITIZENS.

What we DON'T need are the "Little Emperor" types... like Bush and Odumba. Those two a-holes looked up their elections as though they were given carte blanche to do ANY FRICKIN THING THEY WANT! That's not the case. That's not the role of POTUS. We don't elect anyone DICTATOR for the term of their administration.

I'm not against Palin, but I hope she doesn't seek the Republican nod. The Lamestreet Media has poisoned the minds of hoi polloi against her... and the average voter doesn't have enough gray matter to sift through the BS and bias to make a proper choice.

  9. Palin offers nothing of substance. All she can give us is a nostalgia for what's thought to be simpler times. First off, they weren't all that simple and secondly, much as we'd like, all things must move forward, not backwards. She is a backwards thinker and that just won't get it done.
All that said, she has great stage presence , delivers a effective message to her target audience, and most importantly gives the talking heads something to rail on about. Unfortunately that makes her a contender in our never ending political quest where mediocrity will finally reign supreme.
