I have traded 1,807,162 shares so far this year and currently get a .006 rate per share. (All fees included... no ECN fees or any other fees)

Should I be getting a better rate?

I am kinda new to the bigger share size trading and increasing more and more as I go. ( I know its not huge share size trading just trying to size up my shares traded VS. commision rates)

Just thought I would ask for insight from those of you who do similar or greater shares and get your opinion.

Plan on talking to my brokers about this, but just wanted some insight from others that do size.

    Thanks for any constructive insight.

P.S. I trade retail not Prop.

  2. Sounds pretty high to me. My average is less than 1/2 of that. A lot of the reason for that is because AMTD charges $9.95/trade with 50,000 share or $500,000 limit per trade for self executed trades, but even the ones that are given to the specialist to work are lower than yours.
