  1. Jack,

Per your request. My apologies that it's late in coming - I just now saw the pm.

Again, it's not done to spec - e.g. no real annotation, just playing around with some lines, no volume rays, etc. etc. I recognize I have a ways to go yet to get up to speed.

    Best Regards,
    Anthony

Hm, I just *now* read your posts. I'll go back per your notes and make modifications and post again. However, it will be a bit.

One comment, with Ensign is that volume can only be on the bottom of the entire chart - any studies will always be above it. I asked already :(

  2. Thru bar 80...

I posted a CENTERING post a few mins before 2:30 CST and somehow it disapeared. It was on the YM. Note the 7 bars (~15M) that a straight lateral line can be drawn through. It is CENTERING and precedes a BO...

    Kind Regards,
    MAK!

aweissan... is IF1, IF2 a new concept for you? A bunch of us can be of assistance. It turns out everything can be overlayed over everything else. It's kind of a slice and dice thing (ie. seeing the same things from various angles). Somewhat difficult to explain what I mean in that sense...

  3. I second that. Would also appreciate any comments you might have about what youre looking for to end the parabolic moves besides volume. Are there any patterns on DOM that I can watch for? I can generally nail it within a few ticks on volume alone but always looking for more information.:D

  4. This is a scrunched up version of my 5 min chart for the past 3 days. The ST channels are new to me and may be wrong.

    Have a great weekend.

  5. Yes. One thing I dislike about ensign and the fact that you cant do a simple thing like put permanent horizontal grids on volume where you want them. Seems like this would be fairly easy to do so I guess nobody has pushed them for it yet. I made a couple of posts on the ensign forum but never got any response. Hoping someone here is smart enough to pick up their coding method so we can do what we want. My old brain does not want to go there.

  6. I've been using Ensign for over 5 years now since switching over to eSignal from Qcharts and every year I make the same suggestions regarding volume but nothing has changed. It has a hundred different ways to massage price and they're adding more all the time. It has a bunch of features to display time in various ways as well. The people are interested in bells and whistles and Ensign is in the software business and not the trading business so that's how it goes. It just shows how volume is ignored by most.

    easyrider,

Sometimes there are work arounds in Ensign, you just have to be creative. You mentioned you would like to put permanent horizontal bars of your choice on volume. One way to do that is with their Daily Price Lines object. I don't think it is a study but there is an icon for it on the tool bar. Looks like an E, kind of.

If you place that on volume you can place horizontal lines by choosing price in the description field and then make the level any value you want. There are a number of rows so you can make as many horizontal lines as you want.

    I attached an example

I will be talking to someone who knows the ESPL language. If there are any requests I can see if he can help us.

  10. Yes, the contrast of how stuff is made to get sales rather than to make money for users.

There are some products that won't let you leave a space on the right.
