that´s probably a good idea, easy to get information overload. I only look at candles, volume, channels and s/r. That´s all i´m gonna do for at least amonth before i incorporate something else. "the fine tune stuff" can wait.
I don't have the experience or data to answer this definitively, but perhaps a starting point would be to go back and look at what happened in the past. Can you find some charts where the (for example) intraday channel overrode the short term channel? If so, what was going on with volume and indicators? Was there news?
The most important thing to take from all this is that you trade the information that you are getting NOW without thinking about anything else. Yesterday and today blow my mind as both days I thought theres no way in hell this market can go up with all this bad news but I learned the hard way that you must put your opinions aside and trade the chart. I think of this as trading with blinders, focused solely on whats in front of me. You may not be able to get rid of your opinons but you can trade around them.
Absolutely agree easy. RIGHT ON. I intentionally avoid reading news related items. I only regard the fed dates I posted previously since it is arguably risk-free profits. We deal with now and the repeated daily effort (ie. running the drills) calibrates us mentality as to how now fills in, changes, and continues... Eventually, as stalker alludes to, the drills just become ordinary and then slow mo tion drills and you begin to iterate a refinement. What a neat group of participants... Thru 26... I channeled the traverses here only because movement is slowing down as usual and thus particularly more sensitive to volume changes... MAK!
i think the volume pattern - gaussians - "lies" a bit when there´s long shadows on the bars. There really isn´t any strong commitment at all from either bulls or bears, even though things seems clear when u monitor volume... at least thats how i look at it... /Stalker
Note - this is quick and dirty - there are a lot of things I realize are missing, but I haven't had a chance to work on much this morning. I wanted to get this up quick - about 10 minutes ago I drew in the pennant. Does this look about right? The reason I'm wondering is because of the 1 point disparity between what I have and what Mak posted for the RTL at bar 26. Anthony
