  1. Sorry if I got a littly mushy there. Im a sucker for real life vignettes.

Awhile back you said that most times you are just monitoring the last two bars but in the case of a stall you will be looking at the last three. Could you possibly give me a take on what is running through your mind at these times, what you are looking for during a stall.

  3. The STALL...

For one reason or another, a single bar STALL (ie. insider bar) is alot tougher for me than a HVS. An HVS might as well be a HIGH VOLUME STALL. Either way, the single bar data gathering of a HVS is a GO because of the EXTREME volume. EXTREME volume just means the direction (dP/dt) is swift and translating (ie. lack of 2 pairs). On occasion, the scalpers do their thing and then the mid bar the direction will change and come right back to the open bid/ask pair. If I am being picky, simply because the bar has already moved more than a descent number of points, I'll watch carefully the FUTURES/CASH STR.SQU. It is a tad different because I am using the EURODOLLAR futures to get the slight g real-time FMV variations. So far, so good but needs polishing as usual.

On a SINGLE BAR STALL, (ie. inside bar), it is tough for me and I typically either ride out the bar (sideline/hold through it). My tip off as usual is the sudden drop in PRV volume wrt to the previous bar, hence the 2 to 3 bar display. For those who are used to seeing all 5 bars, just select all and unhide. The bars are still there doing their thing.

Because, I see every bar as an apple to be picked, I favor HVS over the single bar STALL (dip/hitch). The latter STALLs are more difficult apples to pick and an area where I am still working on nailing...

    Regards,
    MAK

  4. Thanks Mak. Its been an aha weekend for me, I think. We'll find out come Monday. I cannot do the stalls or congestion yet but that is just gravy stuff. The meat and potatoes is still on the table. I recommend reading or rereading Jacks posts in the Sexy Idea thread along with Maks recent posts. I think I have finally figured out how to go to the next level from rockets to catch the reversal into ccc.

  6. lol. He probably does that many before noon. I washed out of the rocket but did not reverse as per my plan. I just cant seem to get out of my edger mentality. If I had had some coin to play with I probably would have tried it.

  7. Reversers are very rare imo
and they tend to become rarer
I was able to break the spell and move into stocks so that probably means the bull is over

  8. How does you moving cash into stocks mean the bull market is over? Did I read that correctly and is that really what you meant?

  9. I think I was trying to lose.

  10. I c. I missed the sarcasm. The bull/bear phenom is best seen on a pair of timeframes that are very very slow. The switch does not come as quickly as one would think.
