It has been a long time since you have posted David. I hope things are going well. From your post, it seems that you SEE the painting and find that it was KISS all along. Could you provide us with a veiwpoint that would show what this KISS is and how one would acheive that viewpoint? I remember you being such an enabling force for JackHersheyStrategies a long long time ago........
For those of you using range charts on QuoteTracker as Mak has suggested, the Medved's have just added a helpful new indicator called "Tick Time" that draws a vertical line at fixed time intervals. Because range charts label the time at fixed bar-number intervals, it is difficult to cross-ref the chart with a minute-based chart. Last weekend I was doing this manually and decided to make a request to the Medved's for an indicator... couldn't believe they had it released a few days later! The attached example shows the vertical marker at five minute intervals. Thanks Jerry
Jerry is on the ball - really rapid turn around and very apparent interest in making the QT experience a good one for all traders - his good reputation is well deserved and consistent. I have never had to wait more than 60 minutes for a reply to any question I have IRL
I had to add another monitor to get all this stuff on my screens. Going to try and put it all together for the next couple of days and see what happens. Having one little problem with PRV exl. When I start it up G1 on data page is blank and I have to paste the infor back in again, save it and restart. Cant figure out why it wont stay in there.
Easy G1 on the data page is actually fed by Maks code - you don't need anything in there - the macro or 'MAKro' in this case takes the value from the B18 on the PRV sheet. That's why B18 does not have = i.e. just plain text - this text is then used to create a value for the G1 field This is my understanding and subject to correction from the scribe himself IRL
Hmm. Thats interesting because it will not work until I insert the info and restart it. On a side note has anybody else had problems with QT when using the range charts? My computer froze up on me twice this morning. The first time I took the excels off and it did it again. I then removed the range chart and it has been alright since. Strange. My plans went out the window when the market took off this morning as I switched back to edge mode.
IB was having problems with one of their gateways this morning. It was fairly strange - I had the "market disconnected" colors on my connection boxes, but I was still getting data streaming in, and Ensign just quit putting up the data.
