You can see from MAKâs post that experience and knowledge are whatâs needed to add to something. Asking the questions allows you to see what your looking for, finding it is another thing entirely. No one can really give you the answer, it is something you have to discover. Debriefing as you are is the way. Pace is very interesting... have you noticed that only certain things happen during specific paces? Then when the flaws develop it is nice to know that you have Timeâ¦. As much time as the steady volume allows, to take action, once volume moves it will support the flaw you see. Finding the taping fractal does allow things to go to slow motion as Jack has always suggested. Some very good pictures can be developed from what MAK and Jack have laid out on the table. HTH EX
I have been using the VDU and DU to fade the move when other indicators agree. It has been nice for scalping a few points (YM) if the fills are good. The PRV tool is one of the missing links - volume - absent from my toolbox. ESignal has terrible volume indicators for futures. Yesterday, however, I almost got scalped using my little strategy. The trade just didn't feel right and I was able to get out flat before the volume kicked in ;-) MAK....I know from PM's at least four of us are eSignal users. So far we've been able to convert all of your tools to our data feed. Thank You so much for your efforts.
IB it is... There's still one stingy bug in there which is proving pesky... The IB will be up as soon as I can get rid of the bug. It's been considerably idiot proofed... MAK
You're kidding me... RIGHT??? There are many "KISS" ways to slice the market. I happen to find this as one particular facet. Saying this is complicated implies that you know/experience both facets and have properly assessed the complexity of both. Alot of things look complicated when they are not understood. My recommendation would just be to file this away. It will come to you later down the line, unless of course, you consider this to be a waste of time. It is easier to criticize an effort than to "get your hands dirty" and help out. I kind of find it hard to believe that watching a sheet do a RT PRV calculation is complicated. IMO, it does not get any simpler... OF COURSE, the sheet could just pull the trigger for you, but that would just be making it too easy now wouldn't it... There is an efficacy level that I am iteratively pushing. Are you saying that we have pushed beyond the opitmal efficacy level? I am definitely all ears on a new perspective...
Seriously, look at your NEED for it to be complicated. If anyone can do it then what value does your ego add ? Isn't that the problem ? You may be looking for the market to supply your ego with a sense of worth from "conquering" it.
