  1. This is only the second day of watching your program. Noticed some things yesterday and thought I would give it a shot on the YM opening volitility....Thanks for the spreadsheet BTW. That is one nice piece of work.

  2. A helpful note in case there are some unfamiliar concepts. We use STR.SQU to trade the lagging pair. There are many highly correlated assets. For example, DAX/ES, YM/ES, ER2/YM, etc... When dealing with any pair with such high correlation, one of the pair will predominantly lead. Identifying the characteristic lead movement is the key to identifying this facet of correlated pairs. We know that the futures/index/etf of the same component are nearly perfectly correlated instruments. The YM/ES pair just has a more pronounced lag. Whether that has anything to do with liquidity or tick size is uncharted territory for me but rather unimportant. What is important is the ability to utilize this delay component (ie. trade the instrument that lags the leader).

So as you can probably imagine, my curiosity about trading YM is what is one using as the leading component of YM. I know that volume (DU/VDU) of YM is leading, but I am not sure I follow as to how STR.SQU of the leading instrument is used to trade the leading instrument since the STR or the SQU is already several points into the instruments translation.

Well, I have some thoughts. I would have understood YM/DIA STR.SQU and trading the DIA which would work as essentially a trend following framework for DIA. Perhaps you can enlighten me on something which I have yet to consider. I know that there's alot out there. Often times, my mind is just slow to get there.

    Thanks for the kudos.

  3. Out of some disdain for all who have chosen against sharing the PRV tools with me, I've take the time to build an excel PRV tool for you edge folks who consider PRV to be an edge. Some of you baffle me, I share all that I can (PMs and all) and those whom I ask (PM'd) for the tool in return respond and say that they don't have it. I've seen your charts posted elsewhere, PHANTOM bars and all... Of course, such blatancy has a tendency to rub me the wrong way especially when being ridiculed for not working with them on that which I share FREELY???

I just built a simple excel PRV tool yesterday but planned to enhance before posting... I'll email it to you and you can compare to what you've already put together.

  8. 2 PAIR. I saw a +4 on an UPPER PAIR that did not translate to the next HIGHER PAIR...

I added a crude log of the day's str/squ to Maks xls - will make it a little cleaner and readable. This should be useful for post mortems looking back on a given day.

  10. Cool guys. I have a rustic prv setup with one minute and five minute es charts side by side showing nothing but volume. Works ok but looking forward to modernizing.

Have you guys noticed that good old fashioned rockets have been working extremely well for quite awhile now. Most of my trades these days are rockets.
