Thanks for the pdf! Do you guys know if there is a site or file that explains these terms - 2 pair etc. I think i saw one in one of the old Jack Hershey threads but lost it.
actually i wasn't interested in the PnL. i was more interested in that, if there were audio files of grob narrating his trades or the action (whatever it was)...then i'd be interested in listening to such talk.
Links on MSN to archived chat sessions are no longer operative. I have the recordings, some of which are very large files, stored on an old hard disk somewhere. Some time ago I offered them up here if there was sufficient interest by others but that opportunity has passed as I do not currently wish to spend time or resources to hire someone to shrink the files to a manageable size. I deem them more as historical curiosities than having much use as learning aids. In any case, I'm sure there are others who also have recordings and probably better versions (smaller file sizes). Who knows, you might be able to scare them up on the MSN site if you pursue it.

Alright, I made a test run of the service nkhoi referenced above using the largest chat audio file I could find. Although it took a long while to upload the file, it appears to have worked without any problems. I also tracked down the chat log for that day. What I could not find in my archives is an intraday chart for that day, Sept. 2, 2003. Perhaps someone else could make available a 5 minute chart of the ES for that day. Nice to put a voice with the face. Great job Icarus. Thank you for your time. I do hope someone can come up with a chart.
Very interesting audio file -- particularly because this was a day when Jack was positioned and waiting for a pt 3 that never materialized. There was some talk about consistency in the thread a while back. It appears that even Jack has his own consistent way of doing things... we *all* live and die by our actions as traders. Here's the kicker -- pay attention. IMO the temptation to go about things INconsistently exists because it is the ONLY WAY to be "right" 100% of the time... because everything works some of the time (if I am not mistaken these are hypostomus' words). Lose that temptation. I'm not saying anything earth shattering here -- I'm just rephrasing an old trading maxim. Personally -- while listening to this audio file and following along -- I came to the conclusion that I am much much too hard on myself... and my performance may improve to the next plateau if I stop working hard on being hard on myself and spend that energy on other things.
I also found the chat very interesting for several reasons. It is fasicnating to see all the posts Ive read come to life, in realtime action. Thanks so much for the chart. Jack really does a great job of moderating. Wish I had been there.
