Question about the ET chat rules and regs

  1. don't know what else to say to you.

Z didn't ask me to delete. I didn't even read the silly argument and could care less about where you work or if you can spell.

Don't clutter threads with personal arguments. Period.

    thread closed

    -resonate

Now this leads one to conclude that personal arguments are a no-no. If that is correct, then why aren't 90% of the threads in this forum closed? Res I was trying to be diplomatic in suggesting that you should have another mod edit/close threads relating to zz. However, by making the above post, you clearly believe that the esteemed ET chat community is oblivious.

It is a shame that you believe that talking down to the original will negate the fact that your "moderating" has a lot to do with your realtionship with zz.

If your going to set a rule, don't be selective on the enforcement.

  2. Yes, you are correct to conclude that it is the policy of ET and CC that flaming and personal attacks violate the rules of the site.

and a CC thread on this topic http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=909229

And yes, as has been elaborated here and in other threads, the enforcement is spotty. Its based on what the mods read or whether someone complains. Not ideology.

I happened to be reading that thread as I was posting to it. That was how I was expressing my opinion; not by editing out those who I disagreed with. I deleted an escalating personal argument which no longer had anything to do with the thread topic - the domestic spying scandal.
