Speaking from net tick perspective. All other micros need more to cover your cost

Disagree. If you take 10 es trades a day that's hardly Hft, 200 round trips a month. Average round-trip cost $4= 800.00 or 16 es points.

If I could cut my cost in half that's only 8 es points a month I have to recoup per contract before profitability massive difference.

transaction cost is basically the deciding factor for a lot of losing day traders

For a small account micro is the only way to got . It allows a $5k account to get a much much better avg cost plus the main thing it allows a small account to take much more heat and eventually make money. I have a friend who could never make it with he es as he got scared out all the time. I showed him a scaling strategy on the es and he's making money every week. He said this has hanged his life and he's confident he can make $5k plus a month .

    Those numbers under these headings:
    <1,000 Contracts 1,001 - 4,999 Contracts 5,000 - 9,999Contracts >10,000Contracts
Are the total amount you pay, per side, including everything. Where it says 0.39, that means 39 cents. How can that confuse you?
It's like a phone bill. Lot of stuff, including your bill. Do you get confused by it?
I have an account with amp futures, if I trade micro contracts of index futures I pay 39 cents per contract, per side. 78 cents round trip. It includes everything. There's nothing to fret about, it's 39 cents.
If you use CQG, it's 10 cents, Rithmic is 25 cents, and TT is free, and it'l show .00. Then those numbers are plugged into the cost in the chart. Try the chart using different feeds, and you'll see the total cost is different, based on the feed used.

And as I said, if commissions/fees/etc are THE DECIDING FACTOR, you are not a profitable trader.

Your example shows how commissions/fees/etc can affect an existing overall profitable trader.

If transaction cost is the difference of a (non-hft) losing trader turning profitable, the trader is not a profitable trader. Every change in fees causes famine... that's some profitable (non-hft) "trader", I use the term very lightly.

    Thank you, perfect confirmation.

'Confused' was probably the wrong choice of word. 'Unsure' would have been better. The chart in isolation makes perfect sense. If they wouldn't have printed the separate $0.10 fee in addition to the main chart, I would not have questioned it.

Confirmed. The CQG $0.10 is already included in the final All Fees included price listed below: https://portal.ampclearing.com/account/commissionquote.aspx

When you follow the wizard, selecting the Commissions Group > Datafeed > Version > Subscription....it adds up all the fees and provides you the final Exact All-In Cost.

    No I disagree.

A lot of profitable strategies can tilt from winner to loser all else being equal with change in transaction cost.

It's no different than any other business overhead costs going up will sink a business with low margins if they don't have the power to raise their prices

I've seen somewhere that the fee changes for ES contracts if I avail of your $400 day trade margin. I seem to recall it being $3. Is this still the case? If so, what is the all-in commission fee for ES and MES contracts with your low $400/$40 margins?

A non-hft trader that DEPENDS on transaction costs for determination of overall profitability or loss...

    1) does not have a profitable non-hft strategy.
    -and-
    2) Is not a profitable non-hft trader.

    We disagree.

    End of discussion.
