    Just wondering,

does anybody know whether there is a workaround the daily logoff that is done by Interactive Brokers? I have an automated trading strategy that is very successful but I currently need to log into IB's TWS once a day, need to refresh all the historic data in order to get them into my application since the last logout and other hassles. Its a major inconvenience. Any ideas?

    THanks a lot.

  2. You can write your own software to relog you in with something like Autoit but its probably easier to get the stuff from the IB TWSAPI group on yahoo.

The only problem is they won't put the numbers in for ur new secure device.

So you could try setting the logoff time to correspond with a time when you can do the relogin (or just keep resetting it to 1 hour before now ... I'm pretty sure you can prevent it ever closing if you keep adjusting the logoff time).

Does anyone know if you'll hit a "secureid" alarm of some kind if you just keep TWS running for a number of days?
