She didn't say she would ban red meat. However, I'm not a believer that red meat is necessarily unhealthy. Particularly organic grass fed beef. The food pyramid is an absolute joke. The amount of grains suggested in ridiculous. It's not backed by any science. Our country does need to wake up to our diet and the problems it is causing. All of the sugar and processed garbage is why our life expectancy is so low. I think it's pretty fair to say that diet takes more years off of the average American life than anything else does (which is 5 years behind Japan's).
No, she said she would support changes in guidelines to reduce the consumption of red meat. Last 10 seconds of the video (before the incoherent rambling). The question even highlights it: As for whether you believe it should be banned or not, that's irrelevant. We're talking specifically of government moving forward with policies to reduce the consumption of red meat (specifically here).
Yeah, I don't agree with what's being pushed here. Part of it probably has to do with climate change. Some people live on a 100% beef diet. Now policies that reduce sugar/processed food consumption make a lot more sense. It's universally agreed upon by nutritionists that Americans consume way too much of that shit.
